This beautiful fold out bar is made from small recycled fishing boats. The skiffs used to make these pieces have been used for many years to catch fish that would be sold later in the day to the local markets and some pieces have up to 20 layers of original paint on them. The rustic look of the recycled teak wood and the warm rich tone of the natural teak trim combine to create a stunning piece of furniture. The built in shelves offer plenty of storage for your glasses, stemware, wine and spirits.

  • Thinking about placing this on a screened porch in Florida. Occasionally strong rains will get it wet. Also several hours of sun each day. Will it hold up. ALSO what do you recommend for preservative treatment (il, wax, varnish)?

    Thanks for your interest in our teak boat bar. The Marina del Rey boat pieces should be used in a fully covered and completely dry area. You'll want to avoid water sitting on the bar as this can damage the old layers of paint and they will start chipping off. It would be recommended to wipe it off if it gets wet from blown in rain. For protection, you can use a furniture wax and yes, some clients have also chosen to apply marine grade clear coats to protect the wood and paint. Please let us know if you have further questions.
